A new film, 'The Spirit of Banffshire', has been produced to accompany the book.  The film was produced by Peter Reid, Professor of Librarianship at The Robert Gordon University (who describes himself as a "Portgordon loon").

"I am delighted that we have produced this film, entitled Spirit of Banffshire in collaboration with the Lord Lieutenant. It accompanies his new book of the same title which was launched today. The film was made by Erin Smith who has set up her own company, Pink Sphynx Media. Erin is a former student of ours, and has done a phenomenal job. With very grateful thanks to Frieda Morrison for narrating two of the verses, and to the Doric Board for making it possible through one of its grants."  Peter Reid
